In honor of Brenda Tibbetts-Lund who passed away almost 15 years ago, The RE/MAX Cayman Islands friends and family joined forces with hundreds of participants to walk the Brenda Tibbetts- Lund memorial 5K walk/run held annually during the month of October in her memory. The walk begins at the Public Beach to Vista Del Mar then back to the Public Beach on West Bay Road. Prizes will be won by all participants by drawing of names and trophies are to be given to First, Second and third place finishers in the walk and run. This annual event is organized by the Lions Club of Tropical Gardens as part of breast cancer awareness month. Bringing awareness to breast cancer has helped many others on the Island. The aim is to make early detection information available and to support those both men and women who are battling with the disease.
Funds raised will go towards assisting the club in paying for mammogram screenings for women on Island. Through this program both at home and overseas individuals have been able to get assistance with health care and other related costs.
