If you’ve bought or sold property with the Bovell Team in the past, you will already know that behind myself and our two agents, Mabel McMillan and Claudia Subiotto, that we have a team of support staff working tirelessly behind-the-scenes to bring every transaction to its smoothest, easiest and final completion. I thought I’d take this opportunity to re-introduce not only Mabel and Claudia but introduce some of the key members of the Bovell Team who contribute to our success as a team.
The Bovell Team – Administrative Team
Crystal Lyn, who has been with the Bovell Team since 2010, is our transaction coordinator. Born and raised in the Cayman Islands, Crystal’s job is to ensure each stage of a transaction from contract to closing is completed. She handles closings for all our agents, manages due diligence, tracks closings and ensure everything runs as smoothly as possible during what can sometimes be a stressful process especially for first-time buyers. Fun fact: Crystal represented Cayman at the European Island Games in 1999 in track and field winning the bronze (100m) and two gold medals (4 x 100m and 4 x 400m).
Shannon Crew joined the Bovell Team in early 2022 and is our listing coordinator. She works closely with James to ensure that when a new listing hits the market that it is presented to the public in the best possible way. From the moment a listing agreement is signed, Shannon handles the photography, virtual tour, listing description, as well as securing and inputting all the property’s information into CIREBA. She works closely with our marketing team on open houses, email campaigns, the monthly RE/MAX magazine, and so much more. Fun fact: Shannon graduated high school with a diploma in information technology and is working to towards securing an associate of science degree at the University College of the Cayman Islands.
Born in Miami, Damien Cayro recently joined the Bovell Team as my executive assistant and team assistant. Damien is the glue that keeps the team together. He maintains my very busy calendar, assists in any and all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the team, among many other tactics that keep our team moving forward. Fun fact: Damien is a Cuban-American bass-baritone. Despite his young age, he has worked with such leading artists as Helen Donath, Teresa Berganza, Giancarlo del Monaco, and Renata Scotto in Miami, Madrid, Berlin, and Rome.
The Bovell Team – The Agents – Mabel McMillan
Mabel McMillan joined the Bovell Team in 2003 and her passion for real estate is evident having been an executive assistant and now sales associate with the Bovell Team for 20 years. Helping people realize their dreams is her favourite thing about working in this industry. From finding the perfect home for a family to grow into to locating a dream vacation home that generations of family members can create memories in to selling a property and unearthing the ideal new home are all aspects Mabel truly loves about real estate.
“Having spent most of my life in the Cayman Islands and raising a family of three daughters with my husband, I know that the Cayman Islands are a truly wonderful place to call home. My whole career has been focused around providing excellent customer service and nothing makes me happier than knowing I played a positive part in their future. Ensuring that my clients and customers receive the best care and advice are paramount to me,” added Mabel McMillan. Fun fact: Mabel is a master cake maker and decorator and could be a professional event planner in her next life.
The Bovell Team – The Agents – Claudia Subiotto
Claudia Subiotto joined the Bovell Team as the clock stuck midnight on January 1, 2023. Joining the Bovell Team has been the icing on the cake on an international career that started on a scientific path, evolving into a sales and customer care career in challenging and demanding international markets.
“It is a joy to work in the Cayman’s real estate market; a sophisticated market supported by a tremendous infrastructure with robust laws and regulations. These attractive points were the reasons why my husband and I moved to Cayman and had our 3 children here over 2 decades ago,” added Claudia Subiotto. Fun Fact: Claudia has a degree as a Doctor of Pharmacy – PharmD, with a further specialization in Pharmaceutical Industry from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and studied business at the Pontificia Universidade do Rio de Janeiro. Claudia is also a Toastmaster, member of the Grand Cayman Toastmasters Club.
As you can see, Bovell is so much more than just me, James. It takes a village and I’m proud to work with each and every one of these people who I not only call my team but consider part of my family.
