Major investment in roads on the way

The first phase of a major multiyear project to redevelop roads around George Town is under way. Work began this week on widening Godfrey Nixon Way, which connects Eastern Avenue to the Esterley Tibbetts Highway and is viewed as a key route for traffic around George Town.

Dart buys former Hyatt resort

The Dart group has bought the old Hyatt resort, the nine-hole Britannia Golf Course and the Beach Suites hotel, which will close following the sale. The historic Hyatt hotel, once an icon of Caymans tourism industry, has not been redeveloped since sustaining significant damage during Hurricane Ivan in 2004.
